After just a 45 minute leisurely paddle, experience waterpools, pools and rainforests, the main features of this track. A moderate 4.6km circuit track, the bushwalk features Aboriginal rock engravings, a large rock platform known as a tesselated pavement and a small rainforest waterfall.
This adventure track might contain a steep walk, but it’s along the ridge tops – and the views are definitely worth it! Paddling over to Towler’s Bay (formerly known as Morning Bay), wander through heath land and woodland to Towler’s Bay lookout, and enjoy a magnificent view up and down Pittwater.
A long distance paddle past the Basin and a challenging bushwalk, this track takes you around the landscape of West Head and it’s a great way to see two major Aboriginal sites. Starting from the Resolute Beach picnic area, the trail rewards you early, passing Aboriginal rock engravings on the way.
Paddle northward up to the Basin, with its sandy beach, inner lagoon and campsite, this destination is one of the park’s most popular attractions. Pull up at the northern end of the Currawong beach and you’ll find a service trail leading back to The Basin Track.
